Areas of Practice (including but not limited to)
- Zoning & Planning: Zoning and planning law focuses on the regulations that dictate how properties can be used—whether residential, commercial, industrial, or mixed-use. Lawyers help clients obtain necessary approvals from zoning boards, challenge zoning decisions, and understand permitted uses of their property. They also represent clients during public hearings or appeals.
- Land Development: This area covers the legal processes involved in transforming land for residential or commercial use. It includes securing permits, drafting developer agreements, negotiating with local agencies, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Attorneys help clients structure land development projects to minimize risk and delays.
- Zoning Permits: Zoning permits are required when a property owner wishes to make improvements or change how a property is used. Lawyers guide clients through the application process, ensuring compliance with local zoning ordinances, and represent them in cases of denied or contested permits.
- Construction Permits: Legal assistance with construction permits involves ensuring that all building activities comply with municipal codes and state regulations. Lawyers assist homeowners, contractors, and developers in applying for permits, resolving disputes, and addressing any permit violations.
- Zoning Variances: When a proposed property use deviates from existing zoning regulations, a variance is required. Attorneys assist in preparing and presenting variance applications to zoning boards, addressing public objections, and navigating the appeals process if a variance is denied.
- Site Plans: Site plan approval is a crucial step in any development project. Lawyers review and prepare site plans, ensure compliance with local planning board requirements, and represent clients during hearings. They also help resolve any challenges that arise during the approval process.
- Subdivisions: Legal issues involving subdivisions pertain to dividing a parcel of land into smaller lots for development or sale. Attorneys assist in preparing subdivision plans, securing planning board approval, and ensuring the project complies with local land use laws and environmental regulations.
- Pupil Residency Appeals: These cases involve disputes over a student’s eligibility to attend a particular public school based on residency. Attorneys represent families or school districts in hearings and appeals to determine if the student resides within the appropriate district boundaries.
- House Purchases & Sales: Attorneys facilitate the legal transfer of residential property ownership, including contract review, title search, negotiations, and closing. They ensure all documents are properly executed and that the interests of their clients are protected.

- Possession Of Controlled Substances: Drug possession charges can carry serious legal consequences. Legal representation focuses on challenging the search and seizure, proving lack of knowledge or control, and exploring diversionary programs.
- Possession Of Marijuana: Even with changing laws, marijuana possession can still lead to fines or charges. Attorneys help clients understand their rights, challenge unlawful searches, and navigate court alternatives like conditional discharge.
- Shoplifting: Shoplifting charges range in severity depending on the value of the stolen goods. Lawyers work to protect clients from criminal records and negotiate reduced penalties or pre-trial intervention when available.
